• Winter Campe Introduce

    Lorvale Academy’s Winter Camp is a comprehensive online and in-person learning and enrichment program designed for K–12 students during the winter break. Through engaging courses and a variety of activities, the program helps students strengthen their academic knowledge and develop new skills during the holiday.

    1. Course Categories & Content

    Winter Camp courses are organized by grade level and course type, covering enrichment, academic development, personal growth, sports, and the arts.

    K–G8 Enrichment Programs — Focus on Interests & Personal Development

    Science Experiments (STEAM): Includes “City of Light,” featuring circuits and lighting design, and “Fun Science,” featuring activities such as a color centrifuge, sweeping robot, and vacuum cleaner. Hands-on experiments help students develop scientific thinking.

    Math & Logic: Includes “Monster Math” (AOPS Advanced Math), focusing on mathematical concepts and problem-solving, as well as beginner-level Chess, designed to develop logical thinking and resilience.

    Language & Humanities: Includes Classic Literature Reading, featuring English classics and role-playing; Greek Mythology, exploring Western culture; and World History, combining historical knowledge with reading.

    Financial Literacy & Enrichment: Includes Financial Literacy for Kids, introducing basic financial concepts and healthy spending habits, as well as Introduction to Debate, which develops critical thinking and communication skills.

    G9–G12 Academic Enrichment — Focus on Academic Review & Preparation

    Math & Science Review: Includes review of Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and other subjects, focusing on organizing key concepts and practicing different question types.

    English Enrichment: Includes focused IELTS Reading and Writing practice, as well as English development in reading, writing, and vocabulary, designed to strengthen standardized test skills.

    2. Weekly Course Structure

    Winter Camp follows a combination of required and elective courses. Each day includes 2 hours of sports, 2 hours of enrichment activities, and 2 hours of academic learning. Course content changes weekly and is not repeated.

    Reading & Writing and Math. Students are grouped by age and receive supportive, engaging instruction.

    2. Sports — Choose 1 of 4
    Soccer, Badminton, Boxing, or Dance. Classes are taught by professional club coaches with a focus on physical fitness and teamwork.
