    Lorvale’s Chess Program provides structured, level-based training for students aged 4–14, from complete beginners to advanced players. Through progressive instruction in chess fundamentals, tactics, openings, middlegame strategies, and endgames, students develop logical thinking, concentration, resilience, and

    strategic skills while building the abilities needed for competitive chess.

  • Chess- Course Introduce

    Lorvale Academy’s Chess Program is dedicated to providing systematic chess instruction for students aged 4–14. Through chess training, the program aims to improve children’s logical thinking, concentration, resilience, and strategic thinking. The course is taught by experienced professional chess players and a professional coaching team. Combined with Lorvale’s comprehensive level-based curriculum system, it provides well-rounded instruction from complete beginner to advanced levels.

    1. Target Students and Level System

    Age Group: 4–14 years old. Students are grouped according to their age and skill level. Beginners with no prior experience are welcome, while students with previous chess experience can enter more

    advanced levels.

    Level-Based Instruction: The program is divided into three stages: Beginner (Level 1–2), Intermediate (Level 3–4), and Advanced (Level 5+). Students progress step by step through each stage. After completing each level, students will develop the corresponding chess skills and be prepared to participate in rated

    chess competitions.

    2. Course Content and Outline

    Beginner (Level 1–2): Students mainly learn the fundamentals of chess, including recognizing the chessboard and pieces, how each piece moves and captures, basic tactics such as attack and defense, check and checkmate, and basic endgames. The goal is to establish an understanding of the rules and develop a strong foundation in chess.

    Intermediate (Level 3–4): Students focus on common opening methods, checkmating techniques, middlegame tactics such as double attacks, pins, and removing defenders, as well as basic endgames. The course develops logical judgment and clear chess thinking.

    Advanced (Level 5+): Students study advanced opening strategies, middlegame positional techniques, endgame strategies, and complex tactical combinations in greater depth, helping them improve their overall strategic understanding and practical competitive skills.
